Oakley Airbrake MX Goggles With Prizm Lens Oakley Airbrake MX Goggles With Prizm Lens 450R - Arizona Best Goggles I've Ever Owned "These are truly the best goggles I've ever owned. They fit great and the field of view is excellent. I've owned several Oakley goggles over the years (30+) and these are by far the best. I love the quick lens change out and the replacement parts available. While the buy in cost is high...it's worth the price of admission. I expect to get several years from these. Note: Recently I had a very extreme get off. (I ride nasty single track in Az) At moderately high speed I went head on face first into a small rock/boulder cluster. While I suffered a half a golf ball bump on my forehead and a mild concussion for 2 days. The goggle lens was creased and scratched to heck. But there was no penetration! New lens...back on the trails. Best Goggles ever!"

Oakley Airbrake MX Goggles Oakley Airbrake MX Goggles RyanLS - Montana, USA Great Goggle, but runs hot. "The lens hold up a lot better than the Oakley Crowbar and much easier to swap lenses. I purchased the Airbrakes resort/DH mountain biking and found that they run a little hot and would have to take them off to clear small amounts of fog on the top edge and corners. Pros: Stong lenses and scratch resistance, comfortable, easy lenses replacement Cons: Expensive, expensive lense replacement, runs a little hot"

Decades of Development

What more can be said about a company with 600 patents and counting? Headquartered in the sunny confines of Southern California, Oakley got its start in 1975 when founder Jim Jannard sold "The Oakley Grip" out of the back of his car at where else but a motocross event! Shortly thereafter, Oakley's product line embraced the motocross community with gloves, grips, elbow and chin guards and of course their core product of sunglasses and goggles.

In 1980, Oakley revolutionized our sport with the O Frame MX goggle by opening peripheral and downward vision. This goggle received awards for design and technology. Since then Oakley goggles embraced technology and adapted to ever-changing needs. Take for instance, the company's 2006 Stockholm goggle innovation designed specifically for women. Today, Oakley goggles offer a broad spectrum of styles, design and protection.

Oakley Dirt Bike Goggles

That original Oakley O Frame goggle still exists though of course its design and technology keeps up with the times. Adopting Jannard's vision that everything in the world can and will be made better, the Oakley goggle line is vast and found on MotoSport. Off-road enthusiasts and racers have their pick from the Proven MX to the Mayhem MX line as well as signatures series from moto stars like Ryan Villopoto and James Stewart and track legend Ricky Carmichael.
