Tools, Supplies, and a Word About Vapor

Extracting the Old Hose

Making the New Connection Correctly

Cut the replacement to match the length of the piece you removed. Push each end fully onto its fitting until it bottoms against the shoulder, and do it dry. Grease, oil, and silicone all create a path for pressurized fuel to migrate along, so keep lubricant of every kind away from the sealing surfaces. Warm water is the correct way to soften a hose end that does not want to slide.
