The 2023 Outlander MAX 500 DPS runs electronic fuel injection with the pump inside the tank, so there is no petcock and the hose is a pressurized component you must bleed before opening.

Modern Fittings and What They Change

Current-generation injected machines lean heavily on self-locking quick-connect couplers rather than clamped barbs, particularly at the tank outlet. A quick-connect has internal locking tabs that grip a nipple, and it does not use or want a hose clamp.
