How Fuel Reaches the Engine on This Model
The 2020 CFORCE 600 Touring uses a 580cc liquid-cooled single with electronic fuel injection. This is not a gravity-fed machine, and there is no petcock under the tank to shut off flow. An in-tank electric pump pressurizes the supply hose, and the circuit stays pressurized after the key is turned off. Everything below is built around that reality, starting with relieving pressure and using line-clamping pliers in place of the shutoff valve a carbureted quad would offer.
The Touring is a selectable 2WD/4WD platform with a front differential and driveshaft occupying space ahead of the engine, and the two-passenger seating shifts some bodywork compared to a standard rack model. - A dirty ring baked around a fitting where fuel has crept out and evaporated
Since this system runs under pressure, small breaches often atomize fuel rather than dripping it. A strong smell without a visible puddle is still worth a full inspection, and running a gloved hand along the hose will find damp spots your eyes miss.
Preparation, Parts, and Ventilation

- Fuel hose rated for injection pressure, sized to the factory inside diameter
- A drain container approved for gasoline with a lid that seals
- New clamps in the style that comes off, plus a quick-disconnect release tool if a locking coupler is used
- Line-clamping pliers

Gasoline vapor is heavier than air, which means it collects at floor level and travels toward whatever ignition source is nearby rather than rising harmlessly away. Do this work outdoors whenever weather permits. If you must be inside, open the overhead door fully, shut off pilot lights and unplug chargers, and cap the drain container the moment fuel goes into it.
Getting the Old Hose Out
Relieve system pressure by pulling the fuel pump fuse or relay, cranking the engine briefly until it stalls, turning the key off, and disconnecting the negative battery cable. Remove the passenger and rider seats along with the side panels needed to expose the tank outlet. Set a drain pan under the first fitting you plan to open and cover it with a rag, because even a depressurized line holds fuel that will spill when the joint parts.
Slide clamps well back along the hose before you disturb anything. Quick-connect couplers release by pressing both tabs evenly and pulling straight off, never by prying sideways, since aged collars crack under side load. When a hose has varnished itself to a barb, a light twist normally frees it; if not, split it lengthwise with a blade and peel it away instead of stressing the fitting.
Installation and the Final Leak Check
Match the new hose to the original length so it neither chafes on frame tabs nor pulls at its fittings. Seat both ends fully on their barbs completely dry, with no grease, oil, or silicone near the sealing surface, since any lubricant there gives pressurized fuel a path to escape. Dipping the hose end in hot water for a few seconds makes a tight fit cooperate. Place new clamps just behind the raised bead and tighten evenly, and allow any self-locking quick-connect to click into place without a clamp.
With the hose back in its original clips and away from exhaust heat and front driveline hardware, reinstall the fuse, Reconnect the battery, and cycle the key on and off several times without cranking. Each cycle pressurizes the circuit while the joints are dry and easy to read. Check both connections with a clean rag, then run the engine at idle for several minutes and look again before the plastics return. Keep in mind that the fuel filter on this injected Touring model is part of the in-tank pump assembly rather than an inline unit on the visible hose, so persistent delivery trouble after a leak-free install points there next.
