The relief sequence: pull the fuel pump fuse from the fuse block, crank the Rotax V-twin until it stalls from starvation, turn the key off, and disconnect the battery negative cable. Then remove the seats and side plastics for access to the tank and the hose route toward the fuel rail. Slide a shallow pan under the work area and drape a rag over the first joint before you open it, because a bled hose still holds residual fuel that will run out.
Slide clamps well back along the hose before twisting anything apart. If a locking quick-connect coupler sits at the pump module, press both tabs squarely and pull the coupler straight off the nipple — never lever sideways, because plastic collars that have spent seasons in sun and mud crack readily. - Bogging under throttle, a lean surge at higher rpm, or hesitation that behaves like fuel starvation
Since the circuit is pressurized, a small leak often atomizes and evaporates before it can reach the ground. A fuel smell with a clean floor beneath the quad is still worth chasing.
Supplies and a Safe Place to Work
- Hose rated for fuel-injection pressure in the original inside diameter, never general purpose carburetor line
- New clamps matched to the fittings you find, plus a quick-disconnect release tool for locking couplers
- Line-clamping pliers, taking the place of the shutoff valve this machine does not have
- Nitrile or rubber gloves and eye protection
- An approved sealed fuel container and a shallow drain pan

Installation and Verification
Cut the replacement hose to match the removed piece exactly. Slack length is not insurance; it becomes a rub point against a frame tube or a heat exposure problem. Push each end onto its barb dry until it bottoms out fully. Keep grease, oil, and silicone completely off the fittings, since lubricant on a sealing surface hands pressurized fuel a route to creep out past the hose. Dip a stubborn end in hot water for a few seconds and it will slide on unaided.
Position new clamps just behind the raised bead on each fitting and tighten them evenly, firm enough to seal without deforming the rubber. Where a self-locking quick-connect is used, install it with no clamp at all, pushing until the collar clicks and then pulling firmly to confirm the latch engaged. Return the hose to every clip and guide from your photos.
Reinstall the pump fuse, Reconnect the battery, and cycle the ignition on and off five or six times without cranking. Each cycle runs the pump and brings the line to working pressure, giving you a still-dry system under real load to inspect. Wipe both joints with a clean rag and look closely for beading or a fresh sheen. If they hold, start the engine and inspect again at idle, let it run several minutes, then check a final time before the plastics and seats go back on.
