Bogle On Top in Oklahoma

Somewhere between massive leads and killer finish line trickery, Justin Bogle has been killing it in his home state of Oklahoma at the Ponca City Amateur National. With the exception of a mechanical DNF in 450 Pro Mod, he's won everything else he has entered so far. Following Ponca Bogle will head east to Tennessee to try his luck at Loretta's before turning pro and finishing out the final four outdoor nationals aboard his GEICO Powersports Honda. This kid's got style.

Osborne OUT with Shoulder Injury

Zach Osborne lost the lead in the British MX2 Championship after a crash in the latest round at the famous Foxhill Motoparc. Zach: "I do not have much to say, it all went so wrong for me when I crashed, every part of my upper body hurts. I will get an MRI scan on my shoulder this week as I cannot move my shoulder very well. I fear the worst but hopefully it is just bruising and I can be back on a bike soon." Team mate Arnaud Tonus now has a clear points advantage, sitting 64 points clear with just six races left.

World Championships head to Lommel

After a week's break in the FIM Motocross World Championship, everything is ready to celebrate the 11th Grand Prix of the season in the deep sand track of Lommel.

During the Grand Prix of Limburg it will also take place the penultimate round of the UEM EMX2 series and the fourth round of the FIM Veterans World Cup. Antonio Cairoli keeps on leading the MX1 point standings from the likes of Clement Desalle, but the Belgian rides home this weekend and he will be extra motivated to conquer the GP of Limburg. Besides, It is also a very good opportunity for Desalle's teammate Steve Ramon and his compatriot Ken De Dycker to fight for the top positions of the GP.

In the MX2 class Jeffrey Herlings is looking forward to racing against his teammate Ken Roczen this weekend and prove once more that the Dutch is the best rider on the sand and get closer to the leader of the series.

South Africa Needs Your Support to Enter a Team at Motocross of Nations 2011

Three of South Africa's top motocross riders - Tyla Rattray, Gareth Swanepoel and Shannon Terrblanche - have been selected to represent the country at the 2011 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations in France. This event (previously known as the MX des Nations) is the premier event on the international motocross calendar, as it brings together around 40 countries to compete for the top prize in motocross - the Chamberlain Trophy.

Last year, due to financial restrictions, SA was not represented at the event for the first time since their first participation in the Des Nations in 1984. To ensure that this situation is not repeated, a large-scale fund-raising initiative has been created to assist with the costs of entering and supporting a team at this year's event. The initiative, known as Support SA at Motocross of Nations - 2011, will incorporate several different fundraising activities.

An exclusive function will be held on Thursday 18 August at the new World of Yamaha in Sandton, Johannesburg. The facility's state-of-the-art theatre will be used for an auction where valuable international motocross memorabilia will be auctioned off. Catering and entertainment will be provided and guests can enter into a draw to win a flight, car rental, accommodation and a VIP ticket to the 2011 Motocross of Nations sponsored by G2 Trading/Paintmax.

Tickets are limited so book your place today. Also, look out for our posters at leading motorcycle dealers who are supporting our initiative by selling raffle tickets. They will be sold at a cost of R100 and will enter you into the draw for amazing prizes that include a weekend for 2 at The Lost Palace sponsored by Sun City; products from supporting suppliers including Venture Sport, TRP, Langston Racing, Jonnesway Tools, IMAS (Silkolene and Talon Products), Bike Product Services, Pulse Racing and Wetherd Clothing among other great prizes.

For more information about the auction event, raffle tickets and a full list of the prizes, please go to our Facebook page Support SA at Motocross of Nations - 2011 or visit www.mxsa.co.za. Alternatively you can contact Geoff Den on Mr.Den@fnb.co.za for raffle ticket information and Adilia Teixeira on adilia@listenup.co.za for information and tickets to the exclusive auction event.

Over the past 25 years, SA has developed a rich heritage of international motocross stars amongst which are former World Champions Greg Albertyn, Grant Langston and more recently, Tyla Rattray. To keep this heritage intact, and nurture the next generation of South African motocross stars, the motocross community needs all the support it can get.
