No new venues for the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship season schedule howbeit some change-ups in terms of when.
The 11-round series begins May 24 at, like usual, Fox Raceway in Pala, CA and hits the expected tracks in the following weeks like previous year's. Hangtown hosts Round 2 and Thunder Valley Round 3. RedBud long ago secured its place as the July 4th round, this year happening on July 5. The MotoSport.com Washougal National hits the Pacific Northwest's only location on July 19 but guess what follows? Ironman. The customary final round since 2015, except during pandemic years, hosts Round 9 - likely because Ironman is widely expected to host the 2025 Motocross of Nations event in October - which leaves Unadilla and Budds Creek to close out the 2025 Motocross season. Glen Helen remains off the schedule for seven years straight because of a messy spat between Motocross promoters and Glen Helen ownership.
2025 marks the third year of an 11-round Motocross season instead of 12 which started in 2023 to accommodate the three-round SuperMotocross Championship playoff that combines total points riders earn in Supercross and Motocross then resets them for SMX giving anyone a shot at $1 million pay out in the 450 class and a $500,000 payout in the 250 class. Stay tuned for the SMX schedule to be announced soon.
