Updated - some locations and dates removed and others added since the inital announcement. Camping World Stadium in Orlando replaces Glendale, AZ and three dates added for Atlanta, GA at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. 250 East/West classes also added and the East class will begin the 2021 Supercross season.

If you enjoyed twice a week racing as we got to conclude the 2020 Supercross season, because of the coronavirus pandemic, then you will love the 2021 Supercross schedule. No proof this article discussing the virtues of twice a week racing and holding two rounds at one venue was taken into consideration, but we digress.

The 2021 Supercross season features 17 rounds, like normal, but at limited venues with reduced capacity in those states that have opened for business and trying to move on with life. The 2021 Supercross season begins Jan. 16, 2021 - on Saturday - at NRG Stadium in Houston, TX. Round 2 remains at NRG Stadium just three days later on Jan. 19 - Tuesday. And finally, Round 3 drops the gates on Jan. 23 - Saturday - again at NRG Stadium. In a first for Supercross, four "SuperTuesday" races will be held at Houston, Indianapolis, Glendale, and Arlington in the 2021 season.

The 2021 Supercross season heads to Indianapolis for two rounds, then three straight in Glendale, AZ before keeping the annual round in Daytona Beach on March 6 then back to Arlington, TX for three straight at AT&T Stadium. No confirmed dates or locations for Round 13-16 but Round 17 of the 2021 Supercross season takes place at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, UT with a TBA date.

As of now, Anaheim remains off the schedule - and for the first time in 25 years will not open the Supercross season - as well as all traditional California spots, Seattle is out, New England gone, Detroit's not happening and Minnesota won't see a gate drop. Tickets go on sale Dec. 8. FELD plans to announce the dates and location for the remaining dates as they work with stadium partners and local governments while complying with national mandates and CDC guidelines because of COVID-19.
