From there the evidence gets more obvious: a small puddle or a dark stain on the floor where the quad sits overnight, damp residue collecting on the frame tube below the tank, or hose that has gone hard and chalky with fine cracks visible when you flex it. Running symptoms often follow. A line that cannot hold pressure makes the engine feel starved — it bogs when a young rider opens the throttle, stumbles climbing a rise, or takes noticeably longer to fire after sitting a few days. Any one of those signs is reason enough to replace the hose rather than watch it.

How Fuel Reaches the Engine on This Machine

The 2024 CFORCE 110 uses electronic fuel injection on its air-cooled single, so the layout differs from the gravity-fed setups many people picture when they think of a small quad. A pump mounted inside the tank pressurizes fuel and sends it forward through a single line to the throttle body. There is no petcock anywhere on the machine to shut off flow, and there is no inline filter on the hose you can see — filtration happens inside the tank as part of the pump assembly. That means this job is strictly a hose replacement, and it also means the line stays pressurized after shutdown. Understanding that before you loosen anything saves you a face full of fuel.

Assembling Your Tools and Prepping the Area

Everything you need fits in a small tray, but substitutions are a bad idea on a pressurized system.

  • Replacement fuel line rated for fuel-injection pressure and sized for the 2024 CFORCE 110
  • Line-clamping pliers, which do the job the missing petcock would have done
  • Fresh hose clamps of the correct diameter
  • Nitrile or rubber gloves and safety glasses
  • A shallow drain container and a stack of shop rags
  • Small flat screwdriver, nut driver, and a sharp blade for a clean square cut

Handle the gasoline seriously. Work outside or in a space with real airflow, keep heaters, grinders, and anything else that sparks completely out of the picture, and let the engine cool before you begin. Disconnect the battery so the pump cannot spin up while the line is open.

Why Rubber Fuel Hose Has a Shelf Life

Two separate processes attack the line, and they work from opposite directions. On the outside, years of engine heat cycling and sunlight drive the flexible compounds out of the rubber, leaving a wall that is stiff and prone to splitting where it bends. Dry desert-style heat speeds that up considerably, and machines stored outdoors age faster than garage-kept ones. On the inside, ethanol-blended fuel is the culprit. When a youth quad sits between rides — and most of them sit far more than they run — the fuel in the line separates and leaves gum and varnish behind, gradually degrading the hose lining and shedding debris downstream. A hose that looks fine from the outside can already be soft and swollen internally.

Removing the Old Hose Without a Mess

Begin by squeezing the line shut with the clamping pliers a couple of inches past the tank outlet. That isolates the tank so the contents stay put once the far end is open. Now bleed off the pressure trapped between the pliers and the throttle body. Wrap a rag around the throttle body connection and separate it slowly, letting fuel drain into your container instead of spraying. The CFORCE 110 may use a locking quick-connect fitting at that end; depress the release tab completely and pull the coupler straight off, without levering it sideways. At the tank, expect a barb with a clamp. Back the clamp off, twist the hose to break it free, and work it off the fitting by hand. Do not slice toward the barb with a knife — a scratched sealing surface will weep no matter how tight you clamp the new hose. Because this is a 2WD chassis with no front driveline hardware in the way, the run is short and you can reach most of it without pulling bodywork.

Installing the Replacement

Lay the old hose next to the new stock and cut to the same length with a square end. Matching the original length matters: a short piece puts constant tension on the fittings, and an overly long one drapes into places it can rub or melt. Slide each end fully onto its barb until it bottoms out, using nothing to lubricate it. Grease, oil, and silicone spray all contaminate the fuel path and can foul the injector, so keep the fittings dry and push harder if the hose is stubborn. Set the new clamps just behind the barb ridge and tighten them evenly — firm, not crushed. If the throttle body side uses a self-locking quick-connect, that end takes no clamp at all; listen for the latch, then pull on the coupler body to confirm it is captured. Reseat every routing clip so the line follows its original path.

Bringing the System Back Up

Pull off the clamping pliers, reconnect the battery, and turn the key on without cranking. The in-tank pump will run briefly and pressurize the new line, giving you the best possible moment to inspect. Run a dry finger along the full length and around both fittings, then look again after the system has held pressure for a minute. Start the 2024 CFORCE 110 and let it idle while you check once more with heat in the engine. Ride a short easy loop, shut it down, and take one final look at both connections before the quad goes back into regular service.
