Eli Tomac continued eating into Ryan Dungey's lead with his fourth-straight win on Saturday in Detroit for Round 12 of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross series. Tomac's seventh season victory puts him seven points behind Dungey for the lead in the 450 class Championship race. Dungey finished third for the second straight week while Marvin Musquin took second as the Detroit podium mirrored Indianapolis the week before.

A major points shake-up in the 250SX East class with Jordan Smith taking his first win of the season and Zach Osborne, who led in points entering Detroit, endured a first lap crash and finished 18th.
