Shinko Dual Sport 705 Tire Combo
Chris - Travelers Rest, SC Great Tire at a Bargain Price! "In late August I put these on my KTM 790 ADV and rode the MABDR. They are easy to mount with hand tools and needed no weight to balance the front wheel and 1 ounce on the rear. They were really good in most coditions but like many tires they can slip a bit in slick mud. They work fantastic on hardpack gravel roads and on pavement they work as well as any street tire even in the rain. After the BDR I replaced them with a TKC 80 front and Shinko Big Block rear and rode 1500 miles of the TAT (they had plenty of wear left). As usual the TKC worked fine but the Shinko Big Block didn't work near as well as other tires (I usually use the Kenda Big Block on the back) so i won't be using it again. After the TAT i put the 705 back on front to save the TKC for later and then used up what was left of the Shinko Big Block. After 3k miles the Shinko big block was toast so I reinstalled the original 705s and will keep it on to the end of its life. So the front 705 currently has 4,002 miles on it and the back has 3,634. I'm guessing i'll replace the front at 6,000 and the back at 5,000 which i think is fantastic for the price and the kind of riding I do. I tend to replace my tires when they hit the wear bars. Most tires can go many more miles beyond that but i don't like how they feel when wear to that point."See all reviews for this product
