What Actually Kills a Fuel Line
Two things degrade a fuel line: time, and what sits inside it. Rubber loses flexibility as it ages, and a hose that spent eight years on a 2022 Yamaha YZ250F has been hardening the whole time, ridden or parked. Final Checks and the First Start
Release the line-clamping pliers and let the system pressurize. Pressure finds a marginal connection far faster than gravity.
Start the engine and check again warm.
