When the line is truly seized, slice it lengthwise and peel it away.

Installing the Replacement Hose

Trim the replacement to the same length as the original. Guessing causes problems at both ends of the range — excess hose finds something hot to lean against, and a short hose loads the fittings every time the engine moves. Cut cleanly and squarely.

Fit the tank-side end first, sliding the hose past the full barb until it bottoms out. If the line is stiff from sitting on a shelf, dip the end in hot water. Do not lubricate: no grease, no oil, no assembly lube on a fuel fitting. Beyond weakening the seal, it introduces contamination into the fuel your TTR230 is about to run.
