What You Need
- 13 mm socket – for drain bolts
- 8 mm socket – for oil filter cover bolts
- Drain pan
- New oil filter (specific for Beta 390 RR-S)
- Replacement o-rings (oil filter cover, drain bolts, and filler cap)
- Fresh oil: 10W-50 full synthetic – 750 ml for engine, 750 ml for transmission
- Torque wrench (for reassembly)

Step-By-Step Instructions

- Remove the skid plate if equipped to access the drain bolts.

- Install new o-rings onto both drain bolts and the filter cover. Install the new filter – the open end must face the engine, solid end toward the cover.
- Reinstall drain bolts and oil filter cover. Tighten the engine drain bolt to 15 Nm, transmission drain bolt to 20 Nm, and oil filter cover to 10 Nm. Do not overtighten to avoid stripping aluminum threads.

- 750 ml into transmission side
- Start the bike and let it idle for 2 minutes. This circulates the oil, allowing for an accurate check.
