Step-by-Step Instructions
- Remove the skid plate to access the oil filter cover and drain bolts.
- Position your drain pan beneath the engine. Remove both 8 mm bolts securing the oil filter cover.
- Pull out the oil filter and its cover O-ring. Leave the compartment opened for thorough drainage.

Using your 13 mm socket, remove the engine oil drain bolt. Let the oil fully drain.
For models like the 498 RR, engine and transmission oils are separate – so repeat the process for the transmission oil drain bolt. Allow both sides to drain completely before proceeding. - Inspect and replace the drain bolt O-rings on both the engine and transmission drain bolts to prevent future leaks.
