- Install a new paper filter, ensuring correct orientation, and reseal the cover with a new o-ring. Tighten the cover bolts to 6 Nm.
- Refill engine oil:
- Remove the oil filler cap on the left-side case and pour in 800 ml of high-quality 10W-50 engine oil.
- Replace and tighten the filler cap. Start the engine and let it idle for five minutes. Shut down the engine, then wait five additional minutes before checking the oil level through the sight window. Oil should be at the center. Top off if needed.
- Change transmission oil (if needed):
- Repeat similar steps: locate the transmission drain bolt, drain, and refill with the volume noted in your manual. For the 520 RR, verify fill based on sight/bolt as described above.
- Dispose of used oil properly at a recycling facility or hazardous waste center.
