Step-by-Step Coolant Change Process

  1. Let the bike cool down:

  8. Add new coolant:
    Slowly pour fresh silica-free coolant into the radiator using a funnel. Fill the radiator to the very top and squeeze the upper radiator hose to encourage trapped air to escape. Fill the overflow reservoir to the "Full" line.
  9. Bleed air and recheck levels:
    With the radiator cap off, briefly start the engine and idle for a minute. Watch for bubbles and top up as needed. Replace the radiator cap and ride the bike for several minutes while monitoring the temperature gauge. After cooling, recheck coolant levels in both the radiator and overflow reservoir, topping up if necessary.
  10. Reinstall panels and check for leaks:
    Reattach the fairing and radiator guard. Inspect all fittings for leaks and ensure everything is secure and tidy.
