Step 4: Refill with Fresh Coolant

  • Slowly pour in new coolant (Cobra recommends about 450–500 ml for the CX65), allowing air to escape and the system to fill completely. Fill up to the base of the radiator neck.
  • To help expel trapped air, massage the coolant hoses gently. You may also loosen the return hose at the radiator until coolant flows without air bubbles, then retighten.
  • Replace the radiator cap securely.

  • Start the engine with the radiator cap on. Let it idle to circulate the coolant and open the thermostat. As the system heats, it will self-bleed most remaining air bubbles.
