- Start the engine and let it run to full operating temperature to open the thermostat and circulate coolant through the system. Monitor the levels in both the radiator and overflow reservoir as the engine cools, topping off if necessary.
- Check for leaks around the drain plug, hoses, and radiator cap.
- Dispose of Old Coolant
Used coolant is toxic–dispose of it at an appropriate recycling facility or hazardous waste center.
