Coolant Change Steps for the 2009 Beta 525 RR

  • Prep Your Bike
    Let the 525 RR cool down completely before working. Place it upright on a stand or flat ground for stability.
  • Remove Radiator Cap

  • Reinstall the Drain Bolt

  • Add New Coolant
    Pour new coolant into the radiator slowly. Use a funnel to avoid spills, filling up to the bottom of the filler neck.
  • Burp the Cooling System
    With the radiator cap still off, start the bike. Allow it to idle for several minutes, occasionally blipping the throttle and gently rocking the bike side-to-side. This helps air bubbles escape.
    Stop the engine and recheck the coolant level, topping off if needed.
  • Check Overflow Reservoir
    If equipped, top up the coolant reservoir to the “FULL” line.
  • Reinstall Radiator Cap
    Secure the cap tightly. Wipe up any spills and check for leaks.
