Locate the coolant drain screw on the RH side of the cylinder. Remove this screw first. Next, slowly open the radiator cap on the same (RH) side. Allow all of the coolant to drain thoroughly–you may slightly tilt the bike rightward to ensure a complete drain. Reinstall and tighten the drain screw when finished. -
Flush (Optional):
If the coolant is dirty or you want maximum system cleanliness, fill the radiators with distilled water, briefly start the engine, then shut off and repeat the drain process. Repeat until the flushed water runs clear before moving to the next step. -
Add New Coolant:
Pour the recommended quantity of new coolant into the radiator. Fill slowly to avoid air pockets. Do not overfill–stop once the coolant is just below the cap's neck. -
Bleed Air from the System:
Start the engine and let it idle until warm. Squeeze radiator hoses gently to help dislodge any trapped air bubbles. Top off the coolant as needed during this process. Reinstall the radiator cap securely once the system is bled. -
Check for Leaks:
With the engine running and after shutoff, inspect all hoses and clamps for signs of seepage. Tighten hose clamps as needed and replace any hoses that show cracks, swelling, or hardness.
