- Open the air bleed screw on top of the left radiator, if equipped. (Note: Some DRZ400S models lack one or both air bleeders. If missing, fill slowly and tip the bike side-to-side during filling to help trapped air escape.)
- Slowly fill the right radiator with fresh coolant. As you add coolant, watch for air bubbles escaping from the open bleed screws. When a steady stream of coolant emerges with no bubbles, close each bleed screw.
- Continue adding coolant until it is just below the bottom of the filler neck. Replace the radiator cap and secure it with its screw.
- Start the bike and let it idle with the radiator cap on and the bike upright. Let it reach operating temperature, watching the coolant level in the overflow tank if equipped. Shut the bike off and let it cool, then recheck the coolant and top off as needed.
