How to Change the Coolant in a 2001 KTM 125SX

- Locate the coolant drain bolt. On the 2001 KTM 125SX, the drain bolt is at the bottom of the water pump cover on the right side of the engine. This is typically an 8mm bolt.
- Place your drain pan beneath the bolt and remove the drain bolt carefully. Allow all old coolant to drain out. Tilt the bike gently side to side to ensure complete drainage.

- Bleed air from the system. Gently rock the bike side to side. Squeeze the radiator hoses to help work air pockets out. Add more coolant if the level drops.
- Reinstall the radiator cap. Check for leaks around the drain bolt and hoses.
- Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. Watch the coolant level in the radiator and top off, if necessary, once the engine cools down again.
