The 2019 Beta 300 RR incorporates improved clutch feel, refined suspension tuning, and ergonomic updates into the big-bore enduro flagship. The 300cc liquid-cooled two-stroke with electronic oil injection, power valve system, and six-speed gearbox continues to deliver the most trail-pulling torque in Beta’s lineup. The chrome-moly steel frame, KYB 48mm fork, and Sachs rear shock provide the proven chassis foundation. The improved clutch engagement is particularly valuable on the 300 — riders rely on clutch modulation more heavily with the big-bore’s massive torque than on any smaller model. Correct torque protects every improvement.

Engine Torque Specifications

Fastener Torque (Nm) Torque (ft-lbs)
Spark Plug 25 18
Cylinder Head Nuts 40 30
Cylinder Base Nuts 30 22
Flywheel Nut 65 48
Clutch Hub Nut 65 48
Transmission Drain Plug 15 11
Power Valve Cover Bolts 10 7

The 2019 model’s improved clutch feel comes from updated friction materials and spring rates. On the 300, where riders slip the clutch constantly in technical terrain, the clutch hub nut at 65 Nm must be verified after any clutch service. The 300’s massive torque loads the clutch assembly harder than any other model — hub nut security is critical.

Dry vs. Wet Torque

All specs assume dry threads. The 300’s 40 Nm head nut specification makes wet torque correction critical. Reduce 15–20% when compound is present to prevent over-clamping the largest bore in the Beta range.

Incorrect Torque on the 300

The improved clutch is wasted if the hub nut loosens under the 300’s massive torque loads. Over-torqued head nuts warp the largest bore in the range. Under-torqued head nuts cannot contain the 300’s maximum combustion pressures. The 300’s ability to generate traction-breaking torque in any gear makes every drivetrain and chassis connection a potential failure point if improperly torqued.

Thread Locker Points

Medium-strength (blue) thread locker for the 2019 Beta 300 RR:

  • Rear sprocket nuts
  • All disc bolts
  • Linkage bolts
  • Subframe bolts
  • Exhaust mount hardware
  • Skid plate bolts
  • Power valve cover bolts

Torque Wrench Selection

A 3/8-inch drive click-type for 15–100 Nm and a 1/4-inch drive for 10 Nm hardware. Two drive sizes cover the complete needs of Beta’s refined 300cc enduro flagship.
