The 2015 Beta 500 RS launches the open-class road-sport platform with a new 499cc DOHC four-valve single replacing the 450 RS. The EFI and five-speed gearbox pair with 17-inch road wheels, DOT-compliant equipment, and a steel frame in a road-biased configuration. The 500’s additional displacement over the 450 delivers more low-end torque and a broader power band, improving real-world road performance. The 20cc displacement increase produces meaningfully different sealing loads on cylinder head bolts compared to the outgoing 450 RS.
