2015 Beta 430 RS Dirt Bike Torque Specs

The 2015 Beta 430 RS introduces the biggest displacement road-sport machine in Beta’s lineup. The 431cc liquid-cooled DOHC four-valve single with EFI and six-speed gearbox pairs with 17-inch road wheels, street tires, and DOT-compliant equipment in the steel frame. Replacing the outgoing 400 RS, the 430 delivers significantly more torque through an extra gear ratio — six speeds instead of five. The 430’s broad mid-range allows comfortable highway cruising while the additional displacement provides confident overtaking power. Road-sport use subjects the largest single-cylinder engine to sustained high-frequency vibration at highway RPM, creating unique fastener retention challenges.

Dry vs. Wet Torque

Oil drain plug: always wet; reduce 15–20% with sealant. The 430 RS accumulates mileage quickly on road use, so drain plug thread management is essential across a riding season. All other values assume dry threads.

Thread Locker Recommendations

Medium-strength (blue) thread locker for the 2015 Beta 430 RS:

  • Rear sprocket nuts
  • All disc bolts
  • Linkage bolts
  • Subframe bolts
  • Exhaust header bolts
  • Mirror mount bolts

Torque Wrench Selection

A 3/8-inch drive click-type for 20–100 Nm and a 1/4-inch drive for 10–12 Nm hardware. Two drive sizes for the big-bore road-sport.
