The 2014 Beta 250 RR builds on the 250cc liquid-cooled two-stroke platform that Beta introduced to its enduro range, offering refinements to fueling and power valve calibration that sharpened the 250’s already impressive performance. The reed valve engine with electronic oil injection, power valve system, and six-speed gearbox sits in a chrome-moly steel frame fitted with a KYB 48mm fork and Sachs rear shock. At 250cc, the two-stroke produces serious power — the kind that demands tight fastener control across the engine, chassis, and drivetrain to keep the rider in command.

Engine Torque Specifications

The 2014 model’s revised power valve calibration means the valve mechanism moves with slightly different timing and force throughout the RPM range. The power valve cover bolts at 10 Nm must be secure with thread locker to prevent the cover from vibrating loose and exposing the valve mechanism to trail debris.

Chassis & Suspension

The KYB 48mm fork on the 2014 250 RR has fully adjustable compression and rebound damping. Whatever clicker settings you choose, the fork tubes must be clamped at the correct torque. Under-torqued head nuts allow the 250’s substantial combustion pressures to blow past the gasket. On the drivetrain, the 250’s explosive power delivery can shear under-torqued rear sprocket nuts or damage the countershaft if the front sprocket bolt loosens.
