At the bottom of the KFX400’s steering post, reconnect both tie rod ends to the steering arm. Torque the castle nuts to specification and install new cotter pins—never reuse old cotter pins on safety-critical steering fasteners. Lower the ATV to the ground, take a final slow sweep of the handlebars lock to lock, and check that the front wheels track straight when the bars are centered.
