RS Taichi Racing Rain Suit - NXR003 LXXV - Pesaro, Province of Pesaro and Urbino, Italy RS Taichi rainsuit sizing review "This item shipped to me as a 2 piece suit instead of 1 piece. Sizing review is based on the 2 piece fit. Great quality As far as material and construction quality, RS Taichi does not dissapoint with this rain suit. The material is thin but very tear resistant, very lightweight and slightly stretchy. It has a more pleasing feel to it than ordinary nylon rain gear. Not for touring south asia in a monsoon, in sustained rain and spray over your leathers it will keep you dry head to toe while packing down about as small as a normal 2 layer nylon jacket. The sizing though is another issue. If you have purchased their gear before, you know it runs very small. I am 5'10" (1.75m) and 195lbs (89kg) and I first tried size 3X. The length and roominess of the sleves and legs was just about right but the jacket and pants were stretched tight around my chest and middle section wearing only a t-shirt, no leathers, back protector or aero hump. I do have a dad bulge around the middle but my widest measurement is still my chest 46.5". I imagine this would have fit correctly on someone who was 5'10" and 130lbs with a 40"-42" chest and a tapered torso. So when the Taichi size chart says fits up to a XX" chest or XX" waist, they mean maximum tape measurement, not the actual size that you are used to wearing. In the end, 5X fits as intended on my upper body but legs and arms are now too long. A reasonable reordering of the sizes would be XL=xs, 2XL=s, 3XL=m, 4XL=l, 5XL=xl"
