Great trackday tire

I have been using a Q4 on my 2011 gsxr 750 at track days in the advanced class and these tires work as advertised.they have great grip and a very planted feel going into the hard braking turns.they wear well but do not use warmers on the high setting I only use warm setting before the ride ,then just put the wraps on in between sessions and not turn them on seems to work best.

Q: I run Q3+ tires on both of my zx6r's ( Luv Them!!) But is the Q4 suitable for street use or track use only?

A: According to Dunlop, these tires are suitable for street of occasional track use.
Q: I ride a 2013 Honda CBR1000RR Street only. Somewhat aggressive but it is the street. How will these tires hold up. I’ve run the Q3s in the past and no real complaints.

A: They will hold up great. If you liked the Q3 tires, you will love the Q4 tires even more.
Q: These tires do need tire warmers per Dunlop.

A: Tire warmers can be used on the low setting only but are not required per Dunlop. Be careful not to overheat as this will reduce tire life.
Q: I run Dunlop 120 70 ZR 17 front and 200 50 ZR 17 rear on my 1999 R1 Your site only shows 200 55 ZR 17 What is the difference between 50 and 55? Thanks

A: The 50 and 55 represent the aspect ratio. The aspect ratio is the height of the sidewall expressed as a percentage of the width, for example if a tire has a 50 aspect ratio that means the side wall height is 50 percent of the 200 mm width which equals 100 mm; for a 55 aspect ratio the sidewall height is 110 mm,.
Q: Considering running these for practice days (I don't ride street) to save money. I race on 120/180 Dunlop N-tec slicks. Are these the same profile? Are they a good enough tire to hold up to an expert level race pace (my times are about 105% of AMA times).

A: These tires are ready and perfect for the use you want them for. They are the newest edition to Dunlop's offering for the track day rider, not a replacement for the Q3's but an addition to the family of already dominating track style tires.

This purpose-built track-day tire achieves lean angles up to 62 degrees, more than any other street-legal tire Dunlop has ever made.
The user-friendly Q4 does not require tire warmers, and runs at street pressures, eliminating the need for chassis or electronic adjustments.
Rear tire compound contains carbon black like Dunlop's racing slicks for maximum grip.
Jointless Tread (JLT) technology uses a continuously wound strip compound to optimize stability, flex, and grip across the rear tread profile.
Carbon Fiber Technology (CFT) uses carbon fiber reinforcement in the sidewalls for exceptional cornering performance, braking stability and feel.
On Tread Branding - raised letters built into the sidewall.
