How do I enter my tire size?

Look along the rim of your tire. You should be able to find a group of numbers separated by slashes and/or dashes. There are two general types of tire sizing, metric and english. Most street and dirt bikes use metric sizes. A metric size will look like 100/90-19. Most ATVs use english sizes, english size will look like 35x10-15.

    Dual Sport Tires

Ever see a dirt bike cruising down the road? Not on the trails or track, but on public streets. While dirt bikes aren't built for highways, with a few modifications—including street tires—you can register your motocross bike for street use. But regular dirt bike tires won’t cut it; you’ll need dual sport tires.

    Street Tires for Dirt Bike

To make a dirt bike street legal, you need DOT-approved dual sport tires, which provide the necessary grip on pavement and still offer traction for off-road trails. These tires give you the freedom to ride directly to your off-road destination, eliminating the need for a truck or trailer. Although they don’t offer the same grip as pure motocross tires, dual sport tires are the perfect compromise for riders transitioning from dirt to pavement.

At MotoSport, we stock a wide range of dual sport tires from top brands, with options for both front and rear replacements or combo sets. Some tires even perform well on the track, so you can ride to your race on the same bike you'll compete with! Check out our selection of DOT-approved tires for your dirt bike and learn more about How To Make A Dirt Bike Street Legal.

For any questions, or if you need advice on the best dual sport tires, call our gearheads, who use dual sport tires for commuting and can help you find the right fit.
