Oxford Heaterz Premium Touring Grips

Oxford Heaterz Premium Touring Grips

Hutch - Lyme, NH Easy to install "Finally got these on and then it was still awhile before I had a chance to actually go out and try them in the real world. I like them a lot, but do wish they would get a little hotter, because I have poor circulation in my fingers. Otherwise, they probably would be fine. They were hot with my summer gloves, but the back of my hand would get cold if used when you would really need warmers, so it is necessary to wear winter riding gloves, thus are thicker in the front/palm portion. This makes it more difficult to feel the heat as it obviously insulates both ways. Also the left side does not seem to get as warm, though honestly that could just be me. The installation was very easy and they fit well length wise on my 1999 Cagiva Gran Canyon. I didn't even have to use the included glue on the throttle tube, so removal if need be would be easier and would save the need to acquire another one. I was able to reuse my bar-end mirrors too. I mounted the Oxford name up to gain the clearance that looked the safest. The bracket was the only finagling that had to be figured out. I ended up just using one of the bolt holes, but appears to be solid enough, and the angle was perfect, albeit I had to put it on the throttle side to clear everything, which means either decelerating if using your right hand or simply reaching over with your left. Another reason I decided in the touring version of these, besides the extra length, was the vibration absorption. They are better than the Renthal dirtbike grips that I had on, but I feel not nearly as good if that is your main concern. However the extra thickness is nice and the gripping surface is surprisingly "grippy" after initial thoughts based on how they looked. Again, I mounted the name up(12 o'clock). I hope this helps. Good luck."
