OEM KTM Motorcycle Parts

KTM got its start as a metalworking shop in 1934 by founder Hans Trunkenpolz. The company, still headquartered today in Mattighofen, Austria, began repairing and selling DKW motorcycles in 1937 and added Opel motorcycles the next year. KTM branched out in the 1950s to manufacture its own motorcycles and finished a prototype in 1953. Production began in 1954. Almost all KTM parts were produced in-house with engines made by Rotax.

The first KTM engines came online in 1970 and in 1973 KTM celebrated its first Grand Prix wins. In 1978, KTM expanded overseas and established their US-based production in Lorain, OH. In 1986, KTM became the first to offer front and rear disc brakes. Today, KTM's presence is widely felt in motocross, enduro, rally, and road racing, and the company has more than 200 titles overall.

KTM's "Ready to Race" philosophy underscores its approach to making motorcycles without the need for any modifications in order to compete. To address this concept in motorcycle manufacturing, KTM parts are top-quality, tried and tested. The quality of OEM KTM parts certainly factor into making KTM a worldwide leader and there's no place on the web that makes finding genuine OEM KTM parts as quick and easy as MotoSport.
