Alpinestars SP-1 Leather Gloves Alpinestars SP-1 Leather Gloves Andrew - Blacksburg, VA Stylish, but TIGHT and maybe a little overpriced? "I had the previous version of this glove (which I loved), as well as the SP-2's (which I did not like because I had the wrong size and there wasn't a wrist velcro strap). So I ended up buying this new version a few weeks ago; still in the process of fully breaking them in. The quality and feel is nice - as you would expect from an Astars product. There is a little stitching in the palm that is out of place or not fully attached. The glove is TIGHT - race fit. I normally wear a medium in Astras, and these are a bit of a struggle to get on and off, but I imagine they will be perfect once they're fully broken in. The internal stitching is a bit painful on a few of the fingertips. The gauntlet can be worn over or under your jacket, depending on what style jacket you have. It's a good aggressive street riding/MAYBE entry-level track day glove, but the price seems to be a little high for what it is (classic Astars)."

Alpinestars SMX-1 Air Gloves Alpinestars SMX-1 Air Gloves Echo919x - Wisconsin Extremely disappointed "Long time fan of alpinestars. This is the worst product of theirs that i've bought. I've had these gloves for only 2 months. I take care of my gear and i dont beat them up. CONS: -Yellow lettering has partially fallen off already. I bought these for the yellow accents and some of it is now gone. -Mesh holes are a bit too big and the material inside the gloves is starting to come out through them. It's minor, but annoying -Big problem is that the wrist strap to secure the gloves is made of rubber and has torn almost completely off. Once it tears off, i'll have no way to tighten and secure the gloves around my wrists. PROS: -They looked great before the yellow accents started to off. -The carbon fiber knuckles look and feel great, i really like them. -The palm side of the gloves is made from nice leather. The quality of it makes me feel confident that they will protect my hands during a slide The only recommendation that i would give about these gloves is that you stay away from them, unless if you're ok with loose gloves that you cant velcro down"

Alpinestars - Legendary Innovation

Sante Mazzarolo founded Alpinestars in 1963 in Asolo, Italy. Alpinestars first made hiking and ski boots but a short two years later the company introduced its first motorcycle boot - it included an innovative steel shin protector and a buckle closure system rather than laces.

A decade later, Alpinestars marketed protective boots featuring toe sliders and enhanced levels of protection for the motorcycle road racing circuit giving the company a loyal following. In the 1990s, Alpinestars rolled out additional protective gear including gloves, jackets and full leather suits.
