Michelin S12

I bought this tire to replace my off brand tire that came with my bike. This tire was more difficult to install than most due to having stiffer than usual sidewalls, but once I had it mounted and rode it, I was amazed at how I could romp on my bike around corners and not have the rear end slide out, and how well it gripped in a straight line. From soft to hard pack this tire does it all. I love the grip, and not to mention all the roost I can shoot at my friends now.

It rips

Motosport shipping was fast and description was great. I ride mostly enduros and hairscrambles. Tire is performing good. It’s been holding up for rocky single track dirt fire roads and even paved roads. I only have a few hours on the tire so I’m not sure about overtime with the New England terrain. Yes I will refer to friends about this tire

Great Trail Tire

This tire, especially on an 18" rim is incredible. The traction at 8psi and durability is very impressive. Will keep buying this tire!

Great Rear Tire

Tire performs great in various conditions. From South Carolina sand to Virginia mud, roots and rocks. Tire lasts great and can be flipped for extended use. Seems a little tougher to install than other brands.

Great tire for various conditions

We bought this tire hoping it would last because our old tires were getting the treads torn off from all the roots in the trails we ride in. We ride in all sorts of soils in SC, from sandy, muddy, to hard packed red clay. The tire seems to be holding up great with plenty of traction and great handling. I'll definitely buy this tire again whenever it needs replacing.

Great tire

First tire i bought and it seems to grip well. It already shows wear on the top edge of the center lugs after one ride. Im only a weekend trail rider so it should last at least a year for me. I ride in wet muddy conditions through standing water and some hardpack. Would recomend to anyone in need of a tire.

Excellent tire

2012 KTM 250xc being raced in Northwest Florida, Central Florida, Alabama and Georgia doing Harescramble and Endure events with the occasional MX track thrown in there.

I purchased these after riding a friends bike with a set on it, the amount of corner bite and straight line traction he had compared to the set i was running was unreal and i had to try a set for myself. I currently have 8 hours on these as i type this, they've seen one race and three practice days totaling roughly 150 miles and are starting to show it. The sipes cut into each lug are now gone and they're starting to round off a little on the rear, but seem to offer the same amount of traction they had when they were new. The front is showing minimal wear on the side lugs, but as is typical it will probably outlast two rear tires to one front one. It hasn't rained since I've owned them so i can't report on wet weather handling but in the DRY Fl dirt/sand/clay/roots/brush they're the bees knees. I've been pleasantly surprised that there has been no chunking to report even though my local riding area is very rooted and has small sampling stumps through out our trail system. I will be purchasing another set of these and recommend them to all my buddies.

This tire has been the best for the big bore KTM for the mud and ruts of Northern California woods I have run this tire for years and love the way it hooks up

Q: Anyone use this tire for MX? Is it comparable to the Dunlop Geomax? Riding in Texas and Louisiana MX on 350 SXF traction is everything.

A: This tire is comparable to the geomax at81. This tire would preform just fine in track conditions but is designed for cross country use. This tire caters to soft terrain. Please feel free to give us a call and we would be happy to discuss your riding style and dirt consistency to better help you get into a tire that fits your needs.
Q: Which tire would be recommended for all around trails? Summertime our trails dry up, but still rocky/stony, spring and fall are muddy

A: There is no "one tire" that is offered for those vastly different conditions. If I had to choose just one tire I would suggest the Starcross 5 Medium. That one tire will do its best to do what you need it to do, in the conditions you listed.
Q: Is this a soft intermediate or an intermediate tire?
