TOURANCE NEXT 2 - For an ordinary, unlimited life.

The evolution of the legendary TOURANCE NEXT, a newest road-oriented benchmark for riding pleasure that dares you to challenge any road.

  • Accurate control feeling and solid all-grades handling - Agile and neutral behavior thanks to radial structure with 0 degree steel belt and INTERACT technology.
  • Impressive wet and braking response - The new benchmark for wet handling and braking performance. Segment leading behavior, even in cold temperatures, thanks to new compounds and METZELER HYPERBASE construction. 1.5 meter shorter stopping distance than the best competitor in the segment (according to internal wet braking test conducted from 85 km/h at 25C).
  • Immediate and durable performance throughout the entire tire lifecycle - The evolution of the legendary design of TOURANCE NEXT is boosted by both new compounds and METZELER DYMATEC (Dynamic Mold Angle Technology), a design methodology that ensures performance duration by finely preserving functional knob geometries.
  • Outstanding comfort and safety whilst riding with or without pillions or luggage - The combination of METZELER structures and new compounds results in reliable stability and line holding regardless of the loading condition.

  Details:

  • Multi-pitch knob layout:
  • Reduces tire noise emission and delivers excellent acoustic comfort and rolling smoothness.
  • Re-patterned front design:
  • Enhanced braking and edge grip, improved control feeling.
  • METZELER DYMATEC:
  • Functional front and rear tread design.
  • Variable groove wall angles at different lean angles deliver optimized wear uniformity, across the lean angle. Specifically tailored for Enduro Street motorcycles (for this specific product).
  • New adaptive high-silica (>80%) featuring SBR liquid polymers*:
  • The large number of silica bonds promote great wet performance, rubber consistency and stability.
  • *Compound formulation and silica rate may vary depending on size.
  • Lateral thrusts for dirt road capabilities granted:
  • Steep grooves generate lateral thrusts for dirt road lateral stability and efficient water evacuation.
  • Improved compound stability, enhanced wear uniformity:
  • Groove bridges provide compactness to the whole tread pattern.
  • New adaptive high-silica (>80%) featuring SBR liquid polymers:
  • Centre compound stripe - 40 - 45 mm wide - promotes both great wet performance but also rubber solidity, then stability.
  • Full silica shoulder compound:
  • A formulation aimed for large edge grip.
  • Side stripes always in the contact patch:
  • Outstanding control feeling granted.
  • HYPERBASE:
  • 3D tread compound layout consists of a rubber base layer underneath the tread rubber.
  • Delivers improved line holding, provides thermal stability, and increases duration (alternatively, CAP&BASE feature some of the TOURANCE NEXT 2 rears, with center stripe @50% silica extending underneath the side compounds.
