Why use an E Line heat shield? Four-stroke pipes typically run at higher temperatures (up to 900 degrees F) than two-stroke pipes. When a header pipe gets that hot it can ding easily.

How do the heat shields mount? If a stock four stroke pipe has welded on mounting tabs then the heat shield will mount directly to those tabs for most applications. On aftermarket pipes and stock pipes without welded on tabs, the heat shields are attached with E Line fabricated stainless steel mounting brackets that have the correct distance from heat.
