Wrapping Up and Checking Your Work

Take the clamping pliers off and pressurize before starting. Cycle the ignition to run the pump on the 300XCW for a few seconds, then inspect both connections — a pressurized static test exposes a bad joint immediately, without the engine running.

With that clear, start the engine and inspect once more at operating temperature. Quick-connect couplers are the ones to watch, since a connector only partly latched may hold at first and release later. Confirm full engagement and a completely dry joint.
