- Metric socket set
- Oil catch pan
- Rag or shop towels
- Transmission oil: Motul Transoil Expert 10w40 or equivalent
- Measuring cup or beaker (720 mL recommended fill volume)
- Replacement crush washer (optional but recommended)
Step-by-Step Oil Change Guide

Warm Up the Bike
Start the engine and let it idle for 2–3 minutes to thin the oil for easier draining. Place the bike on a stand so it sits upright and level. -
Remove the Skid Plate (if equipped)
Loosen and remove the skid plate bolts to allow better access to the drain plug. -
Locate the Drain Plug
The drain bolt is on the bottom of the right side crankcase, accessed below the engine. Place an oil pan underneath to catch old fluid. -
Drain Old Oil
Using the appropriate size socket, remove the drain plug and let the old transmission oil drain completely.
Inspect the crush washerreplace it if worn or damaged. -
Reinstall Drain Plug
Wipe the area clean, install the drain plug with the crush washer, and tighten to manufacturer's torque specification. -
Refill Oil
Locate the oil fill cap (typically behind your right boot area on the crankcase).
Add 720 mL of transmission oil. Use a measuring cup for precision.
Replace oil cap securely. -
Verify Oil Level
