What You Need
- 13mm socket for drain bolts
- 8mm socket for oil filter cover
- Drain pan
- New oil filters and o-rings
- Factory-recommended oil: 10W-50 synthetic (750ml each side)
- Torque wrench
- Clean rags
Step-by-Step Oil Change Instructions
- Remove the skid plate to access the oil filter cover and drain bolts.

Place a drain pan under the engine.
Remove the two 8mm bolts holding the oil filter cover. Carefully remove the cover and set aside. Pull out the oil filter and cover o-ring, let these openings stay open to vent while the oil drains. - Remove the engine oil drain bolt (13mm socket) – let the engine oil drain completely.
- Remove the transmission drain bolt and drain the transmission oil completely.
- Install a new oil filter (open end faces inward, solid end faces filter cover). Place a new o-ring on the cover and reinstall, tightening bolts to 10 Nm.

Replace o-rings on both drain bolts.
Reinstall and torque the engine drain bolt to 15 Nm.
Reinstall and torque the transmission drain bolt to 20 Nm. -
Refill the oils:
- Engine side: Pour in 750ml of 10W-50 oil.
- Transmission side: Add 750ml of the same oil.
- Replace the oil filler cap o-rings and install the caps.

Fire up the bike and run for 2 minutes. Shut down and let oil settle.
Check the oil level in the sight glass. On the 350 RR-S, the correct level is the midpoint of the sight glass after oil has circulated; do not overfill, as some sight glass variability is normal.
Special Notes for 2018 Beta 350 RR-S Owners
- Sight glass readings can fluctuate and may show above or below the window after a ride. This is normal for this model. Always measure and pour the correct volume when refilling rather than relying only on the sight glass.
- No dipstick or secondary check: Trust the measured volume method for both engine and transmission. Double-check for leaks after riding.
- If uncertain, Beta recommends running the engine briefly after refilling, then verifying the oil is at the sight glass midpoint. Adjust oil volume if necessary.
