Remove the plug and allow all oil to flow into the drain pan. Clean the plug and inspect the sealing washer or O-ring, replacing if worn. Let the oil drain fully before reinstalling.
Torque the drain plug to 20 Nm when closing. -
Service both oil filters. The 2007 450 RR uses two oil filtersa long and a short element.
Remove the two oil filter cover screws. Take off the cover and use Seeger ring pliers to extract both filters from the crankcase. Thoroughly clean the filter housings, O-rings, and sealing surfaces.
Inspect all O-rings and covers for wear or damage—replace as needed.
Pre-fill the filter casings halfway with fresh engine oil. Install the new long filter in the front position and the short filter in the back. Lightly grease O-rings before reassembly. Secure the covers with screws torqued to 6 Nm. -
Refill with engine oil. Remove the filler bolt from the clutch cover. Pour in 1.25 liters of recommended 10W-50 oil.
Reinstall the filler bolt. - Start the engine. Let the engine idle for five minutes. Examine the area for any oil leaks.

Check oil level. With the bike level, wait five minutes after shutting off the engine, then check the sight glass or inspection bolt if equipped. Add oil if necessary to reach proper level.
