  • Blue Loctite or similar threadlocker for reassembly

1. Remove the Skid Plate and Side Covers

Place your KLR650 on its side stand. Remove the skid plate and left side panel to access the radiator and reservoir. Take note of Phillips screws – turn the bars left or right as needed for easy access. Removing the tank is not typically required for coolant changes, but check clearance and hoses before proceeding.

2. Access the Radiator and Reservoir
