  4. Remove the radiator cap or reservoir cap.

    Place your drain pan beneath the coolant drain point. Remove the drain bolt–or lowest hose connection–to let the coolant flow out. Allow all fluid to drain completely.
  6. Flush the system (optional but recommended).
    Fill the coolant reservoir and radiator with distilled water. Replace the cap, run the engine for a minute, shut off, and let the engine cool. Drain the water just as you did with the coolant. Repeat until clear water comes out.
  7. Replace the drain bolt or reattach the hose.
  8. Fill with fresh coolant.
    Using a funnel, pour the new coolant into the radiator or reservoir until full. Make sure to use only pre-mixed, high-quality coolant designed for dirt bikes and compatible with aluminum engines.
  9. Bleed air from the system.
    With the cap off, gently tilt the bike side-to-side to help release air bubbles. Top up the fluid if the level drops.
  10. Reinstall the radiator or reservoir cap.
  11. Run the engine and check levels.
    Start the motor and let it idle until warm. Shut it down and allow to cool fully. Open the radiator or reservoir again and top off if needed.
  12. Reinstall bodywork and check for leaks.
