Preparation
- Ensure the engine is completely cool. Never open the radiator cap on a hot engine – this can cause burns from hot coolant spray.
- Put the bike on a stable stand.
Draining the Old Coolant

- Locate the coolant drain bolt on the lower water pump cover (generally an 8 mm bolt on the right side of the engine).
- Place a drain pan directly under the water pump area.

- Fill up to the top of the radiator neck but don't overfill.
- Gently tap or shake the bike side-to-side to help release trapped air bubbles.
- Reinstall the radiator cap securely.
Bleeding the Cooling System
- Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. This helps any remaining air escape, allowing the coolant to circulate.
- Stop the engine and let it cool, then remove the radiator cap to check the level. Top off if needed.
