  3. Start the engine and briefly let it run with the cap off. As air bubbles escape, the coolant level may drop; add more if necessary. Once the level stabilizes, reinstall the radiator cap.

Check for Leaks & Top Off

  • Run the engine and bring it up to operating temperature, then shut off and allow to cool.
  • With the engine cool, check the coolant level and add if necessary.
  • Inspect all hoses, clamps, and the drain bolt for any leaks.
