  3. Place the drain pan under the water pump. Locate the coolant drain bolt (typically on the lower side of the water pump cover).
  4. Remove the coolant drain bolt with a 10mm socket. Allow all coolant to drain completely.
  5. Empty the overflow reservoir by disconnecting the reservoir hose or removing the reservoir if accessible, then draining the fluid into your pan.
  6. Reinstall the drain bolt and torque to manufacturer specification (do not overtighten).
  7. Flush the system by filling the radiator with distilled water, reinstalling the cap, running the engine briefly, shutting off, and draining again. Repeat until water runs clear.
  8. Add new coolant up to the bottom of the radiator's filler neck. Fill the overflow reservoir to the appropriate level mark.
  9. Bleed air from the system: With the radiator cap off, start the engine and let it idle. Add coolant if the level drops. Watch for air bubbles and gently rock the bike side to side to dislodge trapped air.
  10. Install the radiator cap once the bubbling stops and the coolant holds steady at the fill line.
  11. Heat cycle and final check: Let the bike reach full operating temperature, then cool completely. Check coolant levels in both radiator and reservoir, and top up if necessary.
  12. Reinstall side panel securely.
