  • Start the motorcycle with the radiator cap off (if equipped) and let it idle for a few minutes.
  • Gently blip the throttle and watch for air bubbles to escape as the coolant circulates–this is called burping the system.
  • As the level drops, add more coolant to keep the radiator full.

Step 7: Final Top-off and Inspection

  • Once no more air bubbles appear and coolant stays at the base of the radiator filler neck, install the radiator cap.
  • If your system includes an expansion tank, fill it to the "upper" line per its markings.
  • Wipe any residue, and double-check for leaks around the hoses and head.

Step 8: Heat Cycle and Level Check

  • Let the bike cool fully after a short ride, then re-check the coolant level and top off if necessary.
  • Repeated level drops may indicate a persistent air bubble or a leak. Address promptly to prevent engine damage.
