This is my second pair of Tech 8’s my first pair lasted over 10 years, these are the best protection for your fee money can buy. Highly recommend.
I had tech 8’s before and like the absolute protection they give me, once you break you foot you’ll realize a few hundred more dollars for the better boots would even been a cheap price to pay for your feet... first pair lasted a very long time, I liked the old (2006ish) strap design better than the new ones and that’s it... I’ve had the new ones get caught on vines, open up without me knowing it and getting caught on my foot peg causing me to not be able to move my foot to the ground and fall over... basically the boots are the best minus the newer strap design... I’ll probably not buy them again just to find a better strap design... I use these for trail riding only and they probably wouldn’t give you any trouble if you ride MX only...
The buckles are held on by a 3mm screw. Mine were loose and I lost a buckle on the first ride. Locktite these before you ride.
I have always had tech 8 boots and never looked bad these look good and fuction well after you get through breaking them in other than the hole i just made in them from the kickstarter im pleased with them
These were a little tough to break in, but are great after a couple of rides. I love that they have a replaceable shield on the right boot where you hit your peg while kick starting bikes (the demise of my last high end boots). These things look like they should last years!
For example, if you wear a size 9 in U.S. women's shoes - you would most likely take a size 7 in U.S. men's. However this is a general rule and for the best fit you would need to try them on.
