Didn't fit, waste of time and money!

Terrible! It didn't fit. It is just a large ugly piece of plastic.I know that it is a universal fender, but I would of had to cut half of it away and then I would of had nothing to mount to the frame. I was charged shipping to get it and shipping to return it so it was a total waste of time and money. Do not buy!

Different shade of white. Good luck with a klx250s

I mounted this on my 07 klx250s. It wasn't easy to figure out the best way to mount it on this bike. After hours of jigsawing, drilling, putting it on and taking it off, I FINALLY got it! I still had to use the bottom part of my oem fender to protect my lighting wires, fuses, and relays. It looks good but the white is different than my oem side panels and poliosport front fender. It does bother me a little, but I'm hoping it will be less noticeable when it gets dirty.

Modifications Required

A nice product for the cost but please keep in mind that this is a universal fender meant for a number of different bikes/designs. A substantial amount of time is required to get the fender to fit the bike properly (still not as perfect of a fit as the original) I used a dremmel, assorted drill bits, a pencil and a black marker for the installation . If you are not a handy person or a person with not a lot of time on your hands than the additional cost for an OEM product would be in your best of interest.
The white color fender does not match the other original white plastics on the bike either.

XR400R, only fits with cutting.

The fender will only fit an XR400 with cutting involved. Which I expected when I ordered it; even though it was listed as compatible. After modifications it looks good.

1982 XR250R

Fits fairly well on my early '80s XR250. Didn't have to trim it, just flex it a little. looks good.

Worth the price

Good in a pinch.

My oem plastics where on back order, but the universal fender was at my door in a couple days. Had to buy hardware to make it mount up, still wasn't a great fit. But it let me ride for the week I was waiting for the proper fitting plastics. For around $20 it did the job, and who can tell at 60 mph. I put it away for the next time I break my plastics.

Acerbis universal rear fender

Installed on a ttr 225 not very much for aftermarket support on them accessory wise, had to cut off most of the front half of the fender, remove the rubber bumpers from the seat base, And make up little brackets to support the rear of the fender but it's universal so expected. Overall still half the price of a used one and in my opinion looks better!

I see that the Acerbis universal rear fender is 7.25 inches wide, but how long is it if measured from tip to tip along the curve (circumference) of the fender?

A: The Acerbis Universal Rear Fender is usually a last resort. It is 7.25 inches wide at mounting point and recommended for use on bikes with a 17-19" rear wheel. You would nned to drill mounting holes.
I would recommend the UFO Rear Fender. Just be sure to correctly select the Year/Make/Model of your bike before ordering so we can be sure to send you the correct fender for your bike. Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

A: I put it on my era 400. It fit, kinda. Had to use longer bolts and allot of washers and it did the job. It didn't fit like factory equipment but it got me through the week while I was waiting on factory parts.

A: The Acerbis Universal Rear Fender is 7.25 inches wide at mounting point and recommended for use on bikes with a 17-19" rear wheel. This is not designed to fit any specific bike. This fender is typically a last resort for bikes that do not have plastic available any longer.
