I was surprised by the quality of this plate considering the price. It very ridged, I have no doubt that it provides as much protection as a metal plate. The linkage guard it very nice too. The only draw back is the weight, it is a little heavy if you are worried to death about adding pounds to the bike, however the weight is low in the bike and I can’t imagine the change will be noticed.

Looks great does the job bolted right up
This does not fit a 2015 ktm 350.
I purchased the Acerbis Glide Plate as I wanted some additional protection for the cases on my 2014 KTM 150 SX. The skid plate is molded well, but is extremely difficult to mount. The one mounting bracket is located in the front center of the glide plate. It is extremely difficult to get the mount bolt to line up with the mount bracket that goes between the frame rails. I have yet to be able to get it positioned correctly after over a hour of trying. I would not recommend this product for the KTM 150.
Rode 4 times with this on my 11 crf250r and i cased a jump and the one bolt that holds it on broke the plastic and it fell off. Not very impressed
I freaking LOVE this skidplate! Although I haven't ridden it in the woods to see if it could handle smashing over trees and stuff I have rode a ton of moto and desert. It's got some knicks and scratches but no cracks or signs of cracking. My favorite thing about it is how easy it is to get on and off the bike. 1 bolt and bam it pops off! Makes oil changes so much easier.
I have run the Works Connection plates for ever and I have always hated bolting them on. This plate is cool for the fact that it bolts on easy and covers beyond the frame just a bit. I did however need to cut down one side just a little to clear the breather hose but it's plastic and no problem for a Dremel tool. Even though I had to modify it I will buy these over the aluminum ones in the future for sure. It is a 5 star product but I knocked off one for the shaving I had to do. Good luck.
This thing popped off twice on the hook side when there was some mud on it (a little added weight) and landing off a jump.
Love this skid plate - off and on with one easy to reach bolt makes oil changes and mud clean up a breeze. Will use this style from now forward.

Question answered by MotoSportExpertUser's contributor status: Top 10Question answered Over 5 years agoAnswer: A: Acerbis Glide Plate is just that, a glide plate. Not a full skid plate. It is designed to cover the lower frame rails and bottom engine cases.
